I was nervous about starting therapy because I didn’t know how to explain what I was feeling. Therapy has helped me see that I don’t need the perfect words—or a breaking point—to deserve support. Sometimes, beginning means simply admitting that I’d like things to feel different.

I used to think asking for help meant I wasn’t coping well enough. Therapy has become a space where I can be honest, understand myself with more compassion, and learn what I need. Opening up still takes courage, but I’ve learned I can take it at my own pace.

Therapy is one of the single most important decisions I’ve ever made. And I am so grateful I worked up the courage to make it. When I walk into that room with my therapist it feels like the weight of whatever is happening is lifted or, at least, a little lighter. For as long as I am there I can let go of expectations placed on me (many of them by me) and just be human. Over the last 5 years working with BBCC I have truly learned what coming back to myself, finding balance, and feeling peace means. Sometimes therapy is easy and sometimes it’s HARD but I wouldn’t change a second.
