Our Therapists

Amrit Ahluwalia (she/her) MSW, RSW

Amrit is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist. She completed her undergraduate degree in Health Studies at McMaster University, followed by a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor.

Amrit works with young people and adults, of diverse backgrounds, to develop healthy relationships with themselves and others. For over 7 years, Amrit has worked directly within the community alongside marginalized groups, providing emergency and crisis support. Amrit has worked with a number of individuals to build resilience, and assist with various psychosocial needs. Amrit’s practice is influenced by radical acceptance, mindfulness, and compassion.

Ashley Van Heurn (she/her) MSW, RSW

Ashley is a registered Social Worker, with a passion for mental health. Ashley is confident and competent in assessing and treating various mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, and emotion dysregulation. Ashley’s approach to counselling utilizes strengths based, person centred and collaborative. Ashley is able help clients to optimize strengths, build resilience and cultivate growth. 

Ashley finds importance in harvesting within clients, that they have the insight and skill to navigate toward personal change. Ashley strives to help you, help yourself, and act as a guide to exploring and gently challenging your own thoughts and beliefs as we discover new insights and strengths about yourself while working together.

Anna Sgambato (she/her) MSW, RSW

Anna is a graduate of the Masters of Social Work Program at Wilfrid Laurier University and has been a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), for over a decade. She has been working in the mental health field for over 20 years and Anna continues to be curious and inspired by the strength, creativity and resourcefulness of people of all ages, who experience life challenges related to trauma, loss and oppression because of race, culture, different learning abilities, spirituality, gender expression and sexuality. 

Anna’s approach has been informed by her experience and training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion-Focussed Family Therapy, mindfulness and client-centred, psychodynamic therapy. Anna’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative and authentic, while supporting people to feel connected with their values and energized.
